Vocalise is Cantabile's most advanced group and is for singers in grades 8-12. Singers in this choir must possess exceptional sight-reading skills, aural skills, and solid vocal technique. Students will find this group to be challenging, rewarding, and exciting to participate in! Singers will perform many different styles of music, including classical, multicultural, and jazz.
Bravi is a young men’s choir for boys whose voices are in the process of change or have already changed. Members of Bravi receive specialized training for maturing male voices and sing a varied repertoire. Bravi students:
* Sing choral repertoire especially written for young male singers to help them explore and experience such poetry and music: from Schubert and Schumann to Pirates of Penzance, Le Miserable and Beatles.
* Receive specialized vocal training for adolescent vocal transition (aka voice change) and build vocal technique.
* Build camaraderie and a sense of pride of being a male singer.
An audition is required by prior arrangement to determine placement into Vocalise/Bravi.
