Cantabile is delighted to announce that we will be running weekly small group voice master classes (maximum of five students per class) at Foothills Congregational Church, Los Altos with Jace Wittig. Classes will run for 10 consecutive Tuesdays on 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/28, 3/7, 3/14, 3/21 and 3/28 and will cost $450. PLEASE NOTE: Class WILL NOT BE HELD on Tuesday, 2/21 due to the Ski Week break.
Jace is Cantabile's Young Men's Division Director, he conducts Bravi and VTG, and supervises Aria. Mr. Wittig sang baritone with the Grammy-award winning men’s choir Chanticleer for five seasons and served as the Interim Music Director from 2011 to 2014, during which time Chanticleer collaborated frequently with Cantabile's Elena Sharkova. An active participant in the Bay Area choral scene, he currently serves as an Artist-in-Residence at the San Francisco School of the Arts (SOTA) and has served as the Interim Music Director for the International Orange Chorale of San Francisco, dedicated to the commissioning and performance of new choral music. In 2015, Jace founded GAUDE, a professional a cappella octet specializing in music of the Renaissance, which he directs.
Cantabile's highly recommends this wonderful opportunity for your singer to work closely with Jace - this small class format will ensure that your singer receives a lot of individual and personalized attention, with the result that they are better prepared for our concerts and rehearsals.
